Christmas Maker Gift Guide

This week I'd like to showcase some makers, crafters and artists I know who are selling beautiful things they've made, and encourage you to consider doing some of your Christmas shopping with them. Introducing:

Amy Newton has only just started populating her Etsy shop but she's already got several lovely illustrations including a friendly snowman (with all profits going to help the homeless), a warming Christmas tree print and her adorable "Hello Christmas Sausage" - and she offers personalised illustrations with bags of personality. She can ship to the UK or internationally.

Jennie Whomersley and Matt Jasper are Lamped It (Good and Proper) and they're upcycling things you might never have thought of into unique and striking lamps! You can buy direct from their Facebook shop; right now they've got an illuminating carpenter's plane and a scrumpy jug lamp, with more to come in future. They mainly ship to the UK, may be able to do international postage on a case by case basis.

And Matt also makes these exceptional LED hula hoops - he's put a tonne of work into making them high quality, robust and ridiculously bright, and they even fold for transport.

Claire Amber is selling her cute snow women cards and hand made dream catchers. She can only ship to the US currently - contact her at firedupdiva@gmail.com or via her Facebook page.

Esther Kent makes gorgeous, characterful illustrations with elements of collage which add texture and dimension to her scenes of animals, children and exuberant characters. You can buy her work as prints, badges, cards, mugs and all sorts...I've bought some of her little seasonal studies and a bird family mug in the past as gifts and everyone's been delighted with them.

Esther ships to the UK or internationally, and until the 19th of December you can get free UK postage in her online shop with the code CHRISTMASPOST at checkout!)

See you soon!
